Calendars & RSVPs
Push Notifications
Learn about notifications and how to manage them.
Leaf sends notifications to keep you updated on plans, RSVPs, and messages. You control which ones you get.
Types of Notifications
Plan Updates
- New plans created
- Plan time or location changed
- Plan canceled
RSVP Notifications
- Someone RSVPed to your plan
- Response count changed
- Close to event time
Message Notifications
- Someone replied in plan chat
- You were mentioned in a comment
- Direct messages
Calendar Invitations
- You've been invited to a calendar
- Someone joined your calendar
Manage Notifications
- Go to account settings
- Click Notifications
- Toggle each notification type on or off
- Set quiet hours (don't notify between X and Y time)
You can customize by notification type—get messages but not plan updates, for example.
Notification Channels
Notifications can come through:
- Push notifications: On your phone or browser
- Email: Digest or immediate
- SMS: Text message (if enabled)
Turn these on or off individually in settings.
Quiet Hours
Set times when you don't want notifications:
- Example: "Don't notify between 9 PM and 8 AM"
- Choose which days this applies to
- Notifications pile up and show when quiet hours end
Urgent Notifications
Some notifications (like plan cancellations) ignore quiet hours because they're important.
Notification Badges
A badge on the Leaf app icon shows how many notifications you have. Clear them by opening the notifications section.
